S™-80/S™-85

Genie® Introduces new Designs for its Popular S™-80 and S™-85 Telescopic Booms

The new S™-80 and S™-85 reflects the design of the popular Genie S™-60 and S™-65 telescopic booms. Operators will experience greater ease of use and owners will appreciate the enhanced serviceability features, maximising uptime and minimising cost of ownership. Fixed width axles, an exclusive virtual boom assembly, and a faster elevation time in addition to other sought-after features are some of the major benefits.

Product Highlights

Exclusive Virtual Pivot Boom

New to the S™-80 and S™-85 telescopic booms is the Genie exclusive virtual pivot boom design. The primary benefit is its ability to keep the weight of the boom over the chassis’ center of gravity as it elevates. This eliminates the need for extra counterweight and keeps the overall weight of the machine down for use in more sensitive terrains.

Maximised Productivity

Fixed width axles allow the boom to drive right off the trailer and go straight to work, maximising productivity at the job site. Serviceability is easier and less costly too by having fewer hydraulic components and moving parts.

Easy To Transport

The fixed width axles on redesigned S™-80 and S™-85 booms give the machines a 2.49 (8’2″) total width which means they can be easily transported over the road and on the jobsite.

Faster Elevation Time

To enhance operator efficiency, the elevation time on the S™-80 and S™-85, from fully stowed to fully elevated, significantly decreased to 68 seconds.

Greater Operator Comfort

An improved control system with boom angle sensors gives operators a comfortable feel with smooth action, especially at the top height of elevation. The booms also retain their active oscillating axle, which provides better traction in rough terrain and a smoother ride for the operator.

User-Friendly Operator Controls

Redesigned control box labels on both the top and bottom panels of the boom provide an intuitive interface for operators.

Engine Options

We offer three engines to choose from: Deutz air-cooled 4 cylinder turbo, Perkins 804 water cooled (non-turbo), or a Continental Gas/LPG Dual Fuel engine.
